History / Cycle Lifestyle magazine

The London Cycle Map was first dreamed up by Simon Parker in the late 1990s.

The London Cycle Map Campaign was started by Ben Irvine, who interviewed Simon in 2010 in Cycle Lifestyle magazine issue 2. Shortly afterwards Cycle Lifestyle launched the campaign.

Founded and edited by Ben Irvine, Cycle Lifestyle ran from September 2009 to February 2014 and was a free magazine that was distributed throughout London (and occasionally beyond), aiming to inspire more people to cycle. Regular contributors included Rebecca Watts (Assistant Editor), Jon Haste (Designer/Illustrator), Gareth Jenkins (the 'New Bike on the Block'), Adam Copeland ('The Peddler') and trusty printers Barclays Print.
